The Redeemed Christian Church of God has its origin in Nigeria, West Africa. It was started in 1952 through an anointed man of God, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. The current General Overseer is Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The church has grown by leaps and bounds, and currently has parishes in many African countries, Europe, and North America

- We believe in the only One God, Creator and Ruler of the universe.
- We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scripture (the Bible). We believe that it is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. We believe that it reveals God, the Fall of Man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages.

- We believe in the Deity and Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, His humanity, His sinlessness, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection.
- We believe that man is spiritually separated from God and is totally incapable of saving himself.
- We believe that salvation is “by grace through faith, without works” plus nothing, and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse us from sin.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is our Mediator (High Priest interceding for us) before God.
- We believe in the visible, personal, and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ (His Second Coming).
- We believe in the reality of heaven, hell, and the devil.
- We believe in the eternal security of the believer.
- We believe in sanctification – a progressive process towards consecration, holiness, purity, and perfection.
- We believe in separation – the call of the believer to be separated from worldly and sinful practices.
- We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
- We believe in divine healing.
